I've really been trying to cook more so that we don't have to eat out so often. We managed to stay home to eat for 10 days in a row (excepts some lunches). I managed to crack my head and whip up either simple stuff or preparing it before I go to work and having hubby reheating it or cooking it when he gets back from work if he's earlier than me or I'll do it when I get back.

Denny's Restaurant
I've been missing for quite some time. There is so much as usual to blog about but I am just not finding the time to do it. I've been hooked on to reading the twilight series and now I'm so hooked on to it that my first two series I spend every of my waking hour reading the book. Nothing much is done at home except for the basic cleaning and cooking! (I am super horrible hence I now decided that I will take my time with this 3rd and 4th series to get my priorities straight)
Anyway hub's birthday was beginning of the month but on his birthday itself I had to work so we pre-celebrated his birthday. Two days before his birthday we went to his favorite Mexican restaurant. The next morning hubby and I woke up to have breakfast at the nearby Denny's restaurant then headed to shops that he wanted to go since it was his birthday.
Hubby order a Denny's plate or something. It came with two pancake, two eggs and a bacon.

Free Money (Practically)
I've been using Swagbucks for a good half a year to a year now. At first I was hesitant about swagbucking because I assumed it was a scam but I've totally changed my mind.
You can read about how swagbucks work here. Honestly I've already redeem about $80 worth of gift card with my swagbucks points. All I have to do is just use their search engine and I will earn points. If I'm going to be searching anyways why not use swagbucks right?
I strongly urge you guys to try swagbucks. Eventually when you save enough points you can redeem anything you one which I normally redeem Amazon gift cards. To get started just click here and you'll be on your way to earning swagbuck points and redeeming your gift! Best of both worlds :)

Kitchen Collections
I've been waiting for the mail man to show up with my present for almost one week. Finally when I got back from work this was what greeted me in front of my door.

Bread and more bread
I've been trying to eat my breakfast every morning. The past few weeks I've been trying different bread recipes with success and have been eating bread with peanut butter/Kaya
or any flavor jam. The whole reason was when I went Asian grocery shopping a few weeks back I bought a bottle of Kaya
and I wanted to eat it up before it goes bad so I've been eating it almost every morning.
Since hubs decided that he will be having sandwiches for work this week I told him that I would bake him a bread for it (he don't like to use homemade bread with his deli sandwiches because he said it falls apart). This week I decided to make a healthier loaf for him and decided upon Instant Oats load since I saw that it looks so soft and yummy.

Lime Chiffon Cake
Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope everyone is having a great holiday!
Initially I was planning to make Satay for 4th of July but it's been raining like cats and dogs these past couple of days plus I had to work today so I decided that I'll do that another time. Since hubs and I was home yesterday I suggested that we get some meat to make fajitas at home.So yesterday we went to the store and bought what was needed to marinate the meat. One of the ingredients for the marinate was lime juice and I bought about 15 pieces because it was just $1!!Well since I only used 2-3 pieces to marinate the meat I've been scratching my head to think of what to do with the rest of the limes before it goes bad. Then I thought I would make lime chiffon cake because I know people make orange chiffon cake so why not try lime?
This is my 3rd time making chiffon cake and the first two times I managed to whip the egg white until stiff perk but for some reason this time I could not reach that. I also did not want to over beat the egg white. The egg white became some what stiff but when I toss it around it was sliding a little so I thought to myself as the first sign of failure!Since every thing else was already mixed together I decided I'll just go ahead. Worst comes to worst my cake will just collapse or will not rise as much as its suppose too.
My cake cracked when I took it out from the oven. I'm not sure was it because I open the over one too many times to make sure that it won't burn.

Five Guys Burger and Fries
Absolutely back dated post :)
Sunday we were trying to decide where we want to go grab something to eat and we had a few place in mind and finally we decided on Five Guys.
Five Guys Burger and Fries started popping up in Houston beginning of the year and since hubby ate there before and told me it was good I've been meaning of eating there. When I drive to work everyday I do pass by a Five Guys Burger and Fries everyday but I don't want to stop by myself and grab a burger there since I know hubby loves burger and I should wait for him.
