My New Toy
Remember when I told you about my bread maker that died here. Well..initially after my bread maker died I told myself that I was not going to buy another one because it cost money and I wanted to save counter space. After using my Kitchen Aid mixer
once and almost killing it I thought maybe I should knead my bread by hand instead of killing my Kitchen Aid Mixer
. That never happened and I never made bread after that because I was too lazy to knead any bread by hand and worried that I could not do it. Then I thought I would find a use one to get since I'm only using the bread maker to knead my dough but I really could not bring myself to buying a use bread maker. Moreover I don't want to buy a used one and have it break on me a few times after I've used it. Hubby was also not too keen on me looking for a used bread maker although they do say they used it once or never used it who actually knows how many times they have used it and whether it'll break. At least if I get a new one I have manufacture warranty.
So one day, while we were shopping I came across Hamilton Beach bread maker
. It is almost the same price as my old Sunbeam bread maker
and the function was exactly the same! I think they are from the same manufacture but just different look. I told hubby that I wanted to buy that bread maker because I've not made bread in a long time and I'm actually itching to make bread. Hubby reluctantly took the Hamilton Beach Bread Maker
and went to pay for it since I'm pregnant and I cannot carry heavy things (although is really not that heavy but is really a good excuse).

Kitchen Collections
I've been waiting for the mail man to show up with my present for almost one week. Finally when I got back from work this was what greeted me in front of my door.

Memorial Day 2010 Shopping
Today is Memorial Day and many people get today off hence is a 3 days weekend.
Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 31 in 2010). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service.[1]Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the Civil War), it was expanded after World War I to honor dead Americans from all wars. (Adapted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_Day)
I happened to have Saturday off but had to work on Sunday and so happen my off day falls on Memorial Day hence I have today off too. I was telling hub and everyone else I'm not off because I have the day off since is Memorial Day but because is my day off!
Anyway I got up at 7am as usual (I'm not sure why but lately I've been getting up at the latest 7:30am doesn't matter what time I go to bed) and played with the dogs a little before I got myself up of bed and cleaned up. I suddenly had the urge to buy something for because I've not really gotten anything since my birthday (which I've not blogged about because I forgot and its been 6 months ago!)
I woke the hubby up at about 8am and told him that I was hungry :p and I wanted to go be at the mall before it got crowded. I got ready and made him and I some breakfast got the dogs ready and then we ate. After that we cleaned up and got dressed to go to the mall. We reached the mall a little after 10 am and I knew which store I wanted to visit. we walked in Neiman Marcus a little bit but I didn't find anything I wanted and headed to the store.
Memorial Day shopping damage done! The Speedy 30 with Strap in fresh Monogram Idylle. I saw this bag a few months ago and have been thinking on looking at it but figure since I already have the Monogram Canvas Speedy 25 I don't want to get a similar one but hubby really like this one plus I do not have any of the Idylle collection so we decided on this one. I was thinking of getting it in Fusain but hubby and the Sales Associate thinks that this is a nice color. I'm happy :) but a hole in my wallet!:P...

Target update!
I got up today and I thought that I should not be waiting for Target District Manager to call me. So by noon since he hasn't called (I know his assistant said that he'll call me latest by Tuesday) I called him and his assistant told me that he was out at the stores. He said that he told me that the DM was going to be calling me latest by Tuesday so I then told the assistant that if I don't hear by from the DM by Tuesday he should be ready to give me the Area Manager name and number.
Not even 30 minutes after that I got a call from the DM. He wanted to know what happen and I told him the whole story. He apologized to me and he didn't try to stand up for his employees which I am really happy because that would piss me off even more. It makes me feel like he acknowledge his store's mistake. He told me that he spoke to the store manager to understand the whole situation. I did ask him what the store manager told him but he didn't want to tell me.
Anyway he assure me that Target cares about their customer and they care about their customer service. He said that he just took over this position (which was a classic excuse I think) and he's trying to make the store better. He'll try and improve the customer service of his stores.
The end result was he is going to send me a $15 gift card. I think it was a little cheap of them to send me a $15 gift card but then I thought about it that I was not expecting anything when I went to complain to the store manager. If he would have did his job right they would not even need to give me anything. I was not expecting anything anyway but since they were going to give me a $15 gift card I figured what the heck. I didn't want to ask for more and sound greedy too. Although I was given a $15 gift card I would definitely NOT go back to the same store! It was a little something but I thought it was better than nothing. At least I got to give a piece of my mind to the DM and he didn't make it sound as though he was trying to stand up for his employees. Hopefully no body will need to go though the same thing I did at Target because it was a really frustrating situation. What a waste of my time to need to call here and there!

Embarrassed !!!
I went to the store just now intending to buy some plastic totes to transfer some of the items we still have in card board boxes to totes because Uncle Richie said that card board boxes will attract silver fish. I hate silver fish because they will eat my nice clothes and sweater so I'm trying to eliminate card board boxes in my house to get ride of the silver fish. I didn't get the plastic totes though because they didn't have the size that I wanted that was supposed to be on sale.
Anyway I bought some other stuff and proceeded to go pay. When she was done ringing all my stuff I proceeded to swipe my credit card to pay for my merchandise. I swiped my card and was about to sign the machine but the cashier told me that my card was denied but she told me to swipe again and it was declined again!!OMGawd!!What happened I asked myself. So the cashier asked if I had another card which I had but I was so shocked that I didn't even know which card to use. I was stumbling to think which other card I wanted to use and then paid for my purchases.
As soon as I left the cashier; while going to my car I straightaway called the credit card company. I was upset because I knew that my card was not denied because we didn't make any payment or we over use our card and I could not think of another reason why my card was denied. I told customer service that I was about to use my card a minute ago and they told me that my card was denied. I wanted to know the reason why my card was denied because I'm up to date on my payment and it was really embarrassing to get my card denied!
Customer Service said that someone got the hold of my credit card number and made some charges on my card. They are not going to charge me for the purchases made by them. They have decided to shut down my credit card and will send me a new card. We are going to get a whole new account etc. I was shocked when I was listening to her because everything happened so fast. They claimed that they tried to call me yesterday which I think they did but they did not leave any message on my phone. I normally don't answer calls that I don't recognize the number that's why I didn't answer their call (if it was them anyway).
At least I know what is going on but I cannot help feeling so embarrassed. I think the cashier was thinking if you don't have money you should not be buying stuff!

Shopping Again!
We got up early morning to head to REI to do some shopping. Although we didn't buy a lot of stuff but we still spend more money that I thought I would there.

The only thing that cost the most is the Coleman propane stove we bought. I've always wanted one so that when we go camping we can cook something instead of just grilling food on our portable grill all the time. Even though we don't go camping that much but I figure when I need to cook my pungent food I can cook it outside with this portable stove.
When we were done with REI we were both starving so I suggested we go to the BBQ buffet place. I know we should not have because we were just going to stuff our face but I was so hungry I just thought the heck with it :P.
After a very heavy brunch we went home and just chill. We watch some show on TV and I suggested to hubby to stop at the mall. Hubby agreed to it but then I wanted to change my mind because going out meaning spending more money but hubby said could just walk around and I agreed.
I didn't have anything that I wanted to buy but when I went in Coach I did try on a pair of shoes. I would like to buy them just because I wanted a pair but I knew I would not really wear it so I told hubby that I didn't want them although he was more than willing to buy it for me :) Then we went in Columbia and that was where the damages were done.

I love the Ashtanga™ II Pant so much that I got both the colors. At first when I tried the black color. I so wanted to buy bark/brown color too but I could only find it in S/regular and I needed the S/short because I'm short :P. After searching none available hubs suggested that I asked the Sales Assistant and she finally found one for me :).
When I first met hubby he had a lot of dark colored clothing and had very little colored clothing. I like it when the hubs wear different color clothing instead of just dark colored so I've been buying him more clothing with different color and I guess his taste changed and he likes to wear other color too. While I was busy looking for my pants hubby helped himself to some of the short sleeves shirts. He bought almost all the color available in his size. I was shocked but I am happy that he was willing to wear nicer casual shirts like this instead of just t-shirts.

Stimulating the economy
Personally I think the government of the USA should have more public holidays. We only have a handful of public holidays a year unlike Asian countries. I think that when is an extended weekend or when there is a public holiday people will definitely go out and do stuff hence they will be spending money. I feel that every time when there is a public holiday hubs and I would help stimulate the economy too so since the economy not doing too well I think they should have more public holiday so that people will spend their money (not us hopefully).
This time round the damages done to our bank accounts or doing our part in stimulating the economy for this extended holiday would be
A) Finally bought my Oakley Asian Fit that I talked about here. The hubs was getting tired of hearing me talk about dragging my feet to buy them for over a year now that he just bought me one :). Since they don't have it at the Oakley stores we had to order online. Hopefully these babies will last me a long time!
B) We went over to Ikea on Saturday morning and bought some nick nacks. It wasn't a lot but it did add up very quickly though :(
C) We went to Cosco and Sams and bought I am not sure what but spend a couple of hundred. Seriously we bought stuff but is not a lot and I don't even recall or seeing it. The only thing I recall is buying King Size Pillows and a few pairs of socks..Apart from that I seriously don't remember. I know that we didn't drop any money on groceries because I already got our groceries on my many trips to the store myself during the week.
D) Finally our biggest purchases for the weekend..Three brand new toilets for the house! When we moved in we knew that we were going to be changing the flooring in the bathrooms therefore we decided to wait till then to change the toilets.
If I was working in the White House and they ask my suggestions on how to stimulate the economy I think having extended holidays would be the best way. People will definitely spend more money on extended holiday because I'm a good example!:P

Found it!
I've been searching for an Asian grocery store closer to my house for quite some time so that I don't have to stock up on some of the items in my house. I normally go to the Asian store about 35minutes from my house which is not too bad but then I have to pay several tolls to get there too so I've been hoping to find one closer to home and no need to pay toll. I know of one that's closer to my house but I don't like driving through to get there because there is a lot of stop signs on my way there.
Those who are living in Houston and if you are living near Memorial I found Super H Mart. When I was driving to this place I got a little annoyed because my darn GPS was taking all sorts of places and if you are living in Houston you know that some places you just don't want to be there. On my way home I found out that there is actually a straight shot way there. Anyway I was hoping that my drive would be worth it moreover is just about 7.5 miles from my house with no tolls! When I arrived there and went it was all worth it. The produce department was all nicely stacked and it looks nice and fresh like shopping in Krogers but with a vast variety of selection of fruits and vegetables. The meat and seafood department was not far behind with the selection and the cleanliness. I was awe by the selection and the stuff it was available at this store!
This place has a nice looking food court with lots of Korean food served there. Next time when I go there I'm going to have some Korean food. It has a little bakery that serves Asian bread and pastries too.
The most important about this store is when you walk in there is no weird smell/odor. Some of the Asian grocery store here when you walk in there is the pungent smell and the hubs hates it. It is not like I love smelling it but I tolerate it because I get to buy stuff so if hubs is with me he'll be rushing me so with Super H Mart I'm sure he won't be rushing me.
I'll still need to go to the other Asian grocery store to get spices and some stuff because they don't have everything here but at least for a lot of things I don't need to drive that far to get it.
I'm so happy that I decided to visit this store today because now I have all the ingredients I need to cook Hokkien Mee that I've been craving for weeks now.
Lastly the price of this place is comparable to the rest of the Asian grocery store and the normal grocery store like Krogers or HEB.

Paranoid
I've not been really worried about the H1N1 virus every since the commotion started. I started freaking out about H1N1 virus when the hubs became sick and have been sick for more than 3 weeks. Coincidentally a guy that works in the same company with hubs was diagnosed with H1N1 virus. He was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and the had to be put in ICU because he was so very sick. It's been almost 2 weeks and he's now still in ICU and had to be put in coma (I'm not sure the reason why) after being diagnosed positive with H1N1 virus. Another guy hubby works with daughter was just tested positive for H1N1 virus two days ago so when Aunt L heard that the hubs was sick she made sure that he went to see the doc ASAP because she was worried that hubs might have the H1N1.

So when I was waiting at the pharmacy for our prescriptions to be filled I went ahead and walk around the store too. I quickly bought 3 bottles of the antibacterial wipes. I have a bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse and also a bottle sitting on my Kitchen counter. I am thinking I should buy a few more bottles to put it around the house. I didn't dare to buy a few more bottles yesterday when I was at the pharmacy because I was afraid that everyone might say that I'm paranoid moreover I bought the wipes already so I figured it would enough meantime.
Now we have H3N8 virus. This virus has nothing to do with humans but dogs. Younger and older dogs can die if they are get this virus. I just heard about this in the news this past few nights. They said that as long as the dogs don't have any contact with other dogs they should be fine but if us human has any contact with other dogs outside we might be able to bring back the virus and when we touch our dogs they might be able to get the virus. We have been thinking of taking the dogs to the dog park I guess now the dogs is not going anywhere anymore. I don't want to take the risk of getting them sick. The solution to this problem is taking them in to the vet to get shots but I don't want to have to put them both into this torture.
The wipes and the sanitizer will work real great. We are going to have to wipe our hands with the wipes or use the sanitizer when we get home after we go out. Hopefully this method will keep any virus out of my house! Do you reckon that I'm paranoid to stock up all the antibacterial wipes? I feel that this is better safe than sorry.

Confession of a Shopaholic
I feel like I'm like Becky Bloomwood from the confession of a shopaholic this past weekend. I'm not as bad at least I think as her but I think I can be almost as bad as her :P..I started my weekend shopping craze by ordering 4 dresses, 2 shorts and a belt on Friday night which I'm currently still anticipating the arrival of my goodies..:)
On Saturday I told hubby that I wanted to go to the mall to walk around and see if I could find some spots bra since we are going biking almost every evening hence I need more sports bra and work out clothes. After brunch hubby and I made our way to the mall without any intentions of buying anything because I've not been able to find anything suitable for a long time for me. Apparently this time round I could find things that's suitable for me and hubby (this trip me more than him because he's already bought a bunch of new clothing the last few trips when I could not find any).
Kipping messenger bag, Kippling purse, Champion sports shorts (yellow), Nike Sports shorts (blue), 2 Reebok top (green and white on top of the bag), hubby's black Nike top, Adidas yoga pants, Reebok sports bra and a New Balance sports bra.
L-R a pair of New Balance running shoes for me (alas I found a pair of sports shoes that I love and is comfortable) and 2 pairs of sports shoes for hubby because he's got wide feet and we have problem finding shoes for him too therefore we quickly bought 2 pairs when we found some that fits him

I also bought a pair of Aldo gladiator sandals but they did not have my size so they had to order it and it'll be delivered to my house (free shipping how cool is that) so I do have a pair of new sandals but it doesn't feel like it because it hasn't arrived.
I had to take my car for inspection on 7/29/2009 (in Houston you have to get your car inspected every year) so I took the opportunity to go walk around. I bought and already wore (hence no picture) a champion sports bra and a champion shorts just like the one I bought during the weekend but different color.
I was tempted to buy a pair of Dr Marten's mary jane. I walked out of the store and I walked back in the store again. It was the last pair there and I was so tempted to buy but I told myself that I didn't need it and I would not really wear it. I kind off still regret it and hubby offered to stop by the mall to get it for me but I am not sure if I really want it. Moreover I reminded myself that I still have a new pair of sandals coming. I am so tempted to run to the mall to go get it. I have to hold myself. I guess if it's mine maybe this weekend if I stop by there and is still there that means I should really get it. Does that make sense?
Well I have to say I am really happy with my purchases. I am not even sure why I need the Kippling bag but it's been a long time since I bought a new bag and I love Kippling and I don't have a blue Kippling monkey and is cheaper than Coach (that's what I told myself and hubby when we bought it) I guess it justifies why I bought that bag huh.
Honestly after spending quite a bit on my dresses and shorts I had no intention on going on a shopping spree the next day. I just assumed that I would not be able to find anything as usual I guess one should not assume anything!

FRUSTRATED!!
I'm itchy!!!Nope not because I have allergies or anything like that. I'm just itchy to buy something for myself. I've not bought any thing for myself for quite some time now. These past few weeks I've been going to different malls AND going to different sites online but I cannot find anything that I really like or that I would like to buy.
I guess it is not a bad thing since times are hard now and we should safe as much money as we can but for me once in a while I like to reward myself with presents to make myself happier. It is not like I'm not happy but I just like to buy something for myself once in a while.
This is the worst and the most see lai (housewife)/aunty problem I'm facing is that I'm actually eying on stuff for the kitchen. I'm actually of thinking of buying electrical or accessories that I can use in the kitchen. OMGosh how see lai is that?
Oh well I guess I won't get frustrated over this that much because I would find something I like eventually

A very happy couple...
We've been wanting a king size bed ever since we got Stanley because he takes up a lot of room. Initially when we first move down to Texas a year ago we thought that we would buy a king size bed when we bought our bed. We ended up not buying a king size bed because we didn't want to spend so much money on a bed since we just arrived and keep as much money as we can for emergency.
Last Sunday I told hubby to take me to Ikea to walk around since they were having their twice a year blue moon sale. We got there had brunch and walked around. We saw a king size Hopen bed frame on sale for about $350! What a steal! We bought the bread frame and then we had to go home because my small car could not fit anything else (well actually we could but we thought we could not) we decided to go home drop off the bed frame and then go back to Ikea to get the rest of the stuff.
We went back to Ikea later to get the bed slate/base, metal base and the mattress. We than came home had a quick dinner and put the bed together. A few trips to Ikea, a couple of hours and about 2k later we got ourselves a new king size bed we've always wanted ^_^. The first night we were not used to it because there was so much room that we didn't know what to do with the extra room. The dogs loves the new bed because they can veg out any where they want.
We put our other bed in the guest room now so that when my parents comes they can have a nice bed to sleep on. Hubby asked if we should get a king size bed for them (they sleep on king size in Malaysia) when/if they come and stay with us for a long period of time next time but I told him that if they do stay with us for a longer period then we'll decided than.
I guess since the economy is bad we should help stimulate the economy huh?:)

6 years dating Anniversary
Saturday was our six years dating anniversary. I cannot believe how time flies and how quickly/slowly this six years has passed. We've had our share of joy and happiness and more to come. We've also had our share of up and down that has made our relationship stronger and wiser.
Since it was our six years dating anniversary hubby and I decided to take a trip to the galleria since we've been there for quite some time. We didn't think that it would be so pack since there is this stink about the recession and everyone is suppose to cut on spending but boy was I wrong. The mall was so pack even LV boutique was packed with people. When we walked in to the store no one even offered to serve us. Well that's fine since we were not sure if we really wanted to spend so much money that day.
Anyway when we got to the galleria hubby was hungry so we decided to find something "light" to eat because I were not that hungry. I asked hubby to decided since I didn't really know what we should eat and since he was the one that was hungry. Since hubby was the one that is suppose to decide where we were going to eat he obviously chose his favorite food - Mexican food of course!

We started our meal with soft drinks and water and then they bought the chips and salsa out.
The chips and the tomato(red) salsa was pretty good. The green salsa which I think is suppose to be guacamole mix was so watery and had no taste in it at all. It tasted horrible hence I didn't even touch it (I normally like to go for the guacamole salsa instead of the tomato salsas). It didn't take the food long to come I think because there was not many people there at that time.
I don't remember what is this call I think is something like enchilada and fajitas mix. It actually tasted pretty good.
The food and price at this place is not bad but I would like to warn about the service. The service here (when we were there) was HORRIBLE. I was so piss with them. First since I didn't order anything they knew I was sharing the dish with hubby they didn't even bother to bring us any plates. All the table had plates for people to put their utensils etc but our table didn't have any and they didn't even bother at all to take us any. Then they didn't really bother to refill our drinks. The people will just walk pass us without even asking us if we wanted anything else. We were out of salsa and chips no one came to asked if we wanted more and if we needed anything. When we needed something we had to call for them which was difficult because they weren't really looking at us and they were just busy chatting with by themselves. The place where we sat and dine was not bad although it didn't look the cleanest but it was alright because I thought they wanted to have the authentic Mexican restaurant feel. When I went in to the rest room I thought I was in the Mexico a part of not so develop town. Let's just keep at there!
In conclusion I doubt I will every go back there. The service is really enough to keep us away to that place.
After we stuffed our little tummies we decided to walk around for a little while to burn some of the food we ate :)
Before we called it good I came home with these goodies. YES another pair of crocs!!!I can fit into these crocs and I absolutely love them but I'm keeping these for mom. I am not going to keep it for myself. I told hubby that is for mom and that's the only reason why I was allow to buy since I already have so many pair of them. Hubby have been looking to get me an organizer for a long time. Initially we thought that we would look at LV's but then since they were so busy we decided to just go Coach instead. I know is already middle of the year but that we didn't think that matters because all we have to do is just change the refills but since is still 2009 I still have 6 months use out of it.

A new phone
So I've been having small problems with my current phone here and there and I've been getting it changed. The last time I got my changed at the beginning of May I still had a weee bit problem with it. The wall paper is not right and I've had so many phones already I know my background is not suppose to be black (ok I'm being really picky here) and for some reason I'm not able to connect to the Internet with that phone too. So I told hubby to call up T-mobile to complain to them because I've had so many problems with this phone and the last time I called to complain and got an exchange they told me if I still had problems with the phone I could get another phone. The problem was the customer service person didn't write that down in the computer so I'm not allowed to get a new phone. Hubby proceeded with the process by talking to the manager the manager finally said that I could get another Blackberry Pearl replacement OR I can get the G1 which Uncle Richie has that and I don't care for it. Hubby wanted to get me the Blackberry Curve 8310 in Red instead but they could not give me that for free.
Anyhow hubby being hubby has always wanted the curve in Red so finally t-mobile and him came into an agreement. We don't have to sign another contract (because we actually just changed our plan) but we could still buy the phone for the upgrade price. Not a bad deal because I think if you don't sign another contract I'll have to pay USD450 for this phone but I think we are getting it for USD250 so we are saving USD200.
We are really happy(so far) with this phone. I've had it less than 24hrs so we'll see how good this bad boy is. Hubby really love his curve and he wants me to get that too PLUS he really wants the red one so i can trade with him soon I guess.
I'm not sure about other men but mine if he wants something price is not an object(not tooo expensive). Hopefully this phone will serve me/us well without giving us much problems.

More Crocs!!
Every since my crocs shopping mania experience here I've been looking out for more on Sale crocs. I just love to get them to wear around the house and for the yard too. I have shoes/slippers/sandals for different part of the house because I don't like to have dirt from one area of the house to be brought to another area so I have sandals for both hubby and I for outside, for inside, at the garage, at the kitchen and of course to go out (I have a ton of going out flip flops). Anyway I told hubby if I see crocs on sale again I'll buy more so when guests comes to my house they can take off their shoes and wear crocs around the house but I've yet to get some because I have not seen any that's reasonable enough to buy and just put it at the corner for guests but I did managed to buy some for myself thought 0_0. Over the past two weeks I've bought a pair of crocs each week and I love them.

I love this because I wear them when I'm working on my lawn. The only regret I have is I didn't get any for my mom and dad so that they can use it when they are working on their lawn too. First I thought it looked like clown shoes that's why I was hesitant but after wearing it I figured what the heck if it's just to wear around the yard to work on the yard it doesn't matter if it looks like clown shoes right so I do regret not getting for mom and dad hopefully I can find some on sale again then I would surely get it for them.
I bought these this past weekend and I love them to bits too. I know aunt has a pair and she said that it is really nice and warm in the winter. Well I knew that because when I was trying it on it was pretty chilly and I when I put it on my feet was so warm that I told hubby I really wanted this pair and he gave in to me :). The lining could be taken out to wash too if it gets dirty. Hubby said that this would be my last pair of crocs for a long time because I'm getting a little over board on crocs. There is crocs everywhere in the house :P.
This is my major problem every single time when I buy something I like I'll keep buying it for the fear that they won't make it no more. Actually talking about that OldNavy used to make some flip flops that I love to wear but now they've changed the material of them. I'm not sure if I would still love them wear them but I regret I didn't buy a few more colors when they still had the old once. Hopefully I'm really done with getting crocs for the mean time unless I find some great deals for mom and dad or to have it at the corner of the house for the guest. Hopefully hubby will not grumble if I buy them for the house *finger cross*

Sore muscles, body aches and tanned skin
Most weekends hubby just likes to laze around the house or just chill out but every since he got his new bicycle he's been wanting to go cycling every weekend. Last Saturday morning we decided to stop at REI his now favorite store to look for a bicycle rack so that we could put a small bag for drinks, phone, etc when we go riding. He found a rack for my bicycle (it would not fit his because he has disc breaks) but not his so I'm really sure he's going to be looking for one for this next few weeks or sooner until he finds one. After REI we went to the Asian grocery store to get some vegetables for the week or two weeks before going for lunch here.
On our way home hubby suggested we got a new refrigerator because he wants one that has the water and ice maker function. Our current refrigerator has an ice maker function but he needs to get some parts for it to make it work but is not two door. He's been wanting a two door refrigerator for quite some time now. Well in that case I suggested we change our washer too and since he's always wanted a front load washer he agreed. I just want a washer that is energy efficient and wash the clothes cleaner (because I don't know why we always have a ton of laundry and hubby always work of stuff and have dirty clothes to wash). So we came home and did some research on what brand of refrigerator we wanted and headed to bestbuy to look at it. I seriously was so frustrated at bestbuy because the sales people would NOT leave us alone and was telling us a bunch of BS. We just want a washer that will wash King size sheets, blankets etc, energy efficient and does a good job and he was telling me about steam washing, sanitizing, power silver wash etc..It was just too much and I wanted to just go. We decided to wait with the appliance and headed home because we were suppose to go our for dinner with his aunt and uncle. We obviously had Mexican food again but it was not bad. Services was not the greatest because there was a lot of people and the food were pretty good but I still prefer Los Cucos for the food, price and service.
Sunday we got up bright and early to have breakfast and more research online for the appliances. We decided to head to homedepot better because they were there to help you when you needed them but they would leave you alone too and they would not force to show you the most expensive appliance they have there. We went ahead and ordered our appliance at to see what they have there. We like homedepothomedepot because the services was good, price was reasonable and they had free shipping too!
We got back a little afternoon and I asked hubby what he wanted to do and obviously his answer was nothing and he just wanted to go for a ride on his bicycle later. I don't blame him since he works so much during the week but there is just a bunch of stuff that needs to get down around and in the house. Hubby cleared up most of the branches while I weeded. Then I trimmed Milo and Stanley's fur. Hubby was burning some of the branches and leaves so he had to watch the fire so it doesn't go out of control and while he was doing that I mowed the lawn. He cleared out a pile of the branches (there is still another pile) and stuff from the shed while I did other things. By the time we got done it was almost 8pm. We were both dead tired, Our muscles are sore and body and legs ache so bad not forgetting getting a tanned from the hot sun (I always forget to apply sunblock lotion)argghhh....
We are so proud of ourselves because we now have a nicer, cleaner and neater back yard. Oh and hubby finally built me a cover for my decomposing bin. I've had the decomposing bin and have been decomposing my stuff but did not have a cover on because hubby was too busy to built me a cover but yesterday he finally did it while I was bathing the dogs and washing the tub :). How I wish we have a maid??

Wilton Cookie Cutter
From the time I learned about Wilton's product, what they sell and what they offer I fell in love with their product. I love to buy baking things from Wilton and I trust their brand.

Crocsmania
Uncle Richie is not able to go to work for about 4-6 weeks after his surgery because I think he's not allow to strain any of his tummy area therefore we've been hanging out a lot together. Last week after he got out of the hospital he didn't really do anything because he was still not feeling that well but today Uncle Richie asked if I wanted to go shopping together and of course I said yes because I've not been shopping for like a month now (the last I went was the day before CNY). We left the house and stopped by at one of his friends place and chat for a little while then we headed to the mall. I was walking around not intending to buy anything that I don't need (since times are pretty bad now). I was walking and I saw the crocs store and asked Uncle Richie if he would mind going in and he said no. So off we went and they were having a sale and we both got really excited.
Damaged done by me..
I bought two pairs for hubby (yellow and orange+pink), one pair for my dad (light blue), one pair for my mom (green) and one pair (dark blue) for me.
Uncle Richie bough two pairs each for him and aunt. When I was walking out the store I wanted to roam around and see if I missed any more but Uncle Richie told me to continue my way so I would not be tempted to buy anymore. I started looking some for hubby so he could wear around the house but then when I found more and could not resist myself. Hubby is not a crocs fan but then Uncle Richie said that since is on sale he could just wear it around the house.
After a few hours of walking we were both tired and hungry so we made our way home but stopped by at Chilis to fill our tummy up first. It was so funny because when we go to the gym just both of us together there are people that is thinking Uncle Richie is cheating on his wife with me (I think some actually told Aunt) and so when we were walking out the door Uncle Richie said (loud but not yelling) "I should get home before my wife gets home and see us"..LMAO..some that heard was just looking at us!!I told hubby that when we got home and he just thought that we are mean..
We are planning on going to the Galleria tomorrow let's hope that I won't be tempted to buy anymore.

Shopping
Chinese New Year is around the corner and every year the Chinese that celebrates this day buys new clothing, shoes etc just to usher in the New Year. Since I'm also a Chinese living but living overseas I still try and follow the tradition to user in the Chinese New Year.
I went to the mall two days in a row to try and find some new clothing. The first time I went to the mall by myself and failed to find anything therefore on Saturday hubby decided to go to the mall with me to see if we could find anything together but sadly we failed to find anything again. I noticed that when ever we are out there to try and look for a particular item we might not be able to find it but then when we are just cruising or window shopping we are able to buy more items. I know that I should not procrastinated and should have started hunting for my new clothing earlier but then I did not have any mood to do any shopping as I just returned home from Malaysia and was suffering from jet lag. Oh well! Like I told that I’m sure I have some new clothing and shoes at home and I don’t HAVE to get one NOW. Hopefully I would still be able to find something before Chinese New Year ends that’s all. *wink wink*

Christmas Gifts
I cannot believe is already December. Time really flies and Christmas would be around the corner. I have already started my Christmas list not for myself but for family and friends. The most difficult person to buy a Christmas gift for is hubby because hubby has a lot of wants. Some of the price for the tools he wants is just outrageous! Also since we have moved so far we no longer have access to some of the tools that we could use if we were still living up North.
Maybe I could just go to La Police Gear and buy some cute tools for him. I know he don’t go hunting no more but then he does have plans to probably go back up North for deer hunting next year so maybe some of the tools/toys that I can get from here would be useful to him next year. I could probably get some for FIL and BIL too since they will go hunting every year.
Maybe buying Christmas gift for the guys won’t be that difficult after all this year. Now all I have to do is find something for the ladies. I wonder what hubby would be getting me for Christmas this year.
